Junior Designer (12701)

London

Permanent

£23,000 - £28,000

+

Jr Designer

£23-£28k + bonus & benefits

At first glance, this job may seem like your standard Jr Design role in a corporate company, but on further inspection, it shows itself to be a hugely varied role in a youthful company with big plans, so don’t judge a book by it’s cover, read on…

This company is an innovative investment  house, set up 5yrs ago by 3 partners in their 30’s, looking to do things differently. They are now a team of 30 and their business spans across 3 sectors and is always evolving.

Their Creative Lead is now looking for a Jr Designer to join her, working across the business wide array of design needs.

They are looking for a Designer that is happy to go with the flow and get stuck into the variety of work on offer. One day you might be designing graphics for an event for their charity foundation, the next you might be working on the company rebrand. They have a Podcast, so are always promoting this through social media channels, so you might be tasked with finding fun and interesting graphics, and animated content to market this across the relevant channels, as well as smaller jobs like event invites, stationary design, business cards & PowerPoint presentations, as well as one of ad hoc jobs for some of their clients like Byron Burger and Hunter.

They are currently having new offices modelled in Soho Sq, which will have a Soho House vibe, and have a really interesting, culturally diverse team, who are really sociable, and there plenty of non work related fun to get involved with (for anyone that wants to!).

They take great care of anyone working for them and said there’s plenty of long term potential for anyone that wants to grow with the business.

What they want is somebody that will always want to rise to the challenge, enjoy a variety of work and be flexible with getting involved in a variety of projects. They need somebody with great skills in Adobe CC, plus Powerpoint, and ideally somebody with 1-2 years design experience under their belt and can show great creative flair.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to see your CV & portfolio!

Senior Designer (12651)

London

Permanent

£40,000 - £50,000

+

Our client is an independent, award-winning, creative agency that’s sole purpose is to make tired brands famous again.

They are a five-time winner of Independent Agency of The Year in 2018.

They are 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team and they can proudly boast 100% pay parity.

They’re multi-disciplined but their hearts lie in branding.

They work with high profile brands spanning FMCG, alcohol and fashion.

Right now, there’s about 30 of them (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because they’re still young, ambitious and very good at what they do.

The role:

Your primary goal is to ensure the agency’s design work continues to be the award-winning work they are infinitely proud of.

This means bringing the highest level of technical skills and ownable styles to the table.

This means trying new things, learning new skills and breaking norms.

This means inspiring other team members to produce equally great work.

Senior Designers should have initiative. Whether it’s to pick up management responsibilities, suggest new ways to improve workflows or just ensure the team’s wellbeing.

Seniors should have good relationships with the rest of their team members, and be able to assimilate jobs down to them.

You must also be a team player — sometimes you will need to support the juniors in the day-to-day work… or simply help to get the mail.

You should also be able to comfortably work with other departments, supporting or leading where necessary.

You must be a good communicator. Senior Designers can not only handle client meetings, but receive briefs (written and verbal) and understand how their design work fits into the broader picture of the client’s brand communications.

Your goals for year one:
• Be involved in one project to win a big award.
• Be involved in three pitch wins.
• Be design lead on two projects, and present it to clients.
• Ensure team members receive 80% positive feedback in their annual 360° reviews.

The type of people they want to meet:
If you live and breath branding and design, they want to meet you. But above all, you must embody their core values and fit within their culture.

They want to meet you if you…
• have 6 years minimum agency experience.
• have management experience in developing other team members — and are keen to continue doing so!
• have amazing branding and design skills and a thousand unique styles and ideas tucked away.
• have a strong understanding of design trends and how to harness them.
• have good communication and presentation skills in selling your ideas, be it to your team or to clients.
• are able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table.
• are proactive and committed to developing your own knowledge and skills.
• are unafraid to roll up your sleeves and muck in.
• are organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines.
• are driven, motivated and have meticulous attention to detail.

• have a can do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit.
• are interested in being involved in the growth of the business as a whole.

The perks include:
• To be part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to.
• The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – and not just be a cog in the machine.
• Free snacks and coffee
• Monthly breakfasts with the whole team.
• Seasonal company parties.
• Annual personal development plan and training budget for your own growth.
• The love of five rotating office dogs.
• A ‘yes work’s important, but let’s not get too serious’ vibe.
• A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
• Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment.
• Beer. Wine. Rum. Whiskey. Chocolate. (Working with their clients has added perks).

Mid Weight Digital Producer/Project Manager (12649)

London

Permanent

£35,000 - £45,000

+

Mid-Weight Digital Producer/Project Manager

My Client is an independent, strategic-led creative agency with digital at its core. They create highly effective interactive work through insightful strategy, innovative ideas and beautifully crafted experiences that people want to share.

They think differently about digital. They don’t start with technology ideas or digital channels; they start by understanding people and their behaviours to create ideas that answer real human problems.

They’re looking for a hands-on, agency-experienced individual with exceptional project management skills to join the Client’s team as a Mid-Weight Project Manager. This individual will be working across campaigns, social and website design and build projects. This will involve managing a range of projects, including both new builds and maintenance.

You must be creative, strategic, and technical, believe in exceptional delivery and have a good understanding of all things digital. You should be a self-starter and immensely proud of your achievements, whilst appreciating the need for process.

Most importantly you should be calm natured, able to manage your own time, and able to communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders. You should be comfortable working on a fast-paced account, and experience in automotive is a big plus.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and have good knowledge of techniques for scoping and delivering projects (we work in both Agile and Waterfall). If you are looking for a job where you can make a big difference and feel a part of something, then we’re off to a good start.

The Role

Reporting into Head of Project Management your responsibilities will include:

Scoping, planning and specification of key projects.

Responsible for ‘driving’ the client for their deliverables. This includes risks and issues management and knowing when to escalate.

Responsible for ‘driving’ internal resources, from Directors to interns.

Responsible for the profitability of these projects.

This is a delivery-focused role. It’s crucial that you have demonstrated experience thatshows that you can manage projects effectively within time, scope and budget.

Responsible for managing the quality and delivery of third-party services.

Ensure the utmost quality in creative.

Work closely with the Client Services team throughout the project to manage client expectations.

Experience and Skills

You’ll be an experienced and confident client-facing PM with a minimum of 3 years of agency experience.

You will be able to demonstrate a fundamental grasp of the principles of project management – ideally you will have training in Agile.

Experience delivering integrated campaigns, including print, social, digital and OOH/DOOH.

Experience of delivering projects with budgets in excess of £50,000.

Confidence in reporting effectively on project performance to internal teams and client stakeholders.

Proven experience in managing projects profitably within complex stakeholder environments.

Excellent and efficient communication skills both written and verbal.

Experience across web builds and e-commerce projects.

Experience in requirements gathering and functional specification.

Experience with Project Management tools (e.g. JIRA, Asana, MS Project (or similar)).

Bright, ambitious, entrepreneurial, likeable, fun and ready for a challenge.

Experience in managing pitch teams would be a bonus.

What type of person should you be?

My Client is a small, close-knit team of committed individuals that see themselves as a bit of a family. So as you’d expect, the personal qualities of the people they hire are often just as important as the skills they bring.

The people who thrive at the Agency are intelligent, passionate self-starters who truly care about the work they do. To succeed you’ll be the sort of person who is proud of their achievements, but driven to improve and achieve more.

My Client keeps things simple and operate a very flat structure. They’ll want you to use your undoubted intelligence to challenge, disrupt and question their thinking, but they’ll expect to do the same to you. They aren’t motivated by fancy job titles. Good people quickly earn all the influence and respect they can handle at this Agency. For many, the greatest reward is seeing their idea have real impact in the marketplace.
They believe people are the key to a great agency, so they treat their people well.

They’re a social bunch;

• Our parties are pretty legendary. We’ve been to Latitude festival for a summer outing, Brighton for a Christmas shindig, Barcelona for our 10 year anniversary, put on a ping pong championship, and taken the whole company for a long-weekend ski trip.

We love to learn and develop

• We hold two social events each month, one boozy and one educational.
